The passion for Italian wind chimes
It all started with the first meeting of a wind chime. Back then I first encountered a blue wind chime at work and was fascinated by its appearance and style.
So small and delicate but yet robust, healthy, intelligent and adaptable to everyday life. A real companion with whom you always have fun. A dog that you can take with you almost anywhere and that always gets positive attention.
From the first meeting I was interested in the breed. I did a lot of research and realized how different these little gnomes can be.
Here in Germany there are only a few breeders and really few litters per year compared to other popular breeds. In general, you rarely see them in public. After many years of research and waiting until my children were old enough for a puppy, we got a little dog.
With her we were able to learn a lot about the breed and be amazed. Completely different than expected, she quickly adapted to us and was with her Loving, open, playful and friendly nature quickly became a valuable family member.
It didn't take long until the second wind chime arrived, because only with two of them are they really complete and can live out what feels right to them. Cuddling closely together, short sprints in the garden or in the open field, tugging on a toy... they can only do that as a couple.
Since we are completely in love with this breed and we enjoy keeping these dogs, it quickly became clear that we would like to continue with them. From exhibitions and races to your own breeding.
For us it is very important to breed in an association that is affiliated with the FCI / VDH and that is how we do itGerman Greyhound Breeding and Racing Association, DWZRV for short, and are enthusiastic about the many great greyhound owners, breeders and interested parties.
The strict requirements for breeding and keeping were a crucial point. Especially with such an elegant, delicate breed like the greyhound, the focus should be on health. Our breeding goal is to preserve the breed with healthy lines that will give their future families joy for a long time.
